Home Births
Is a homebirth right for me? Homebirth is a safe alternative for those who prefer a more natural approach to bringing their baby into the world. Only you and your partner can decide whether or not you want to have your birth at home or in a free-standing birth center.
Homebirth could be an option if........
* You want to be surrounded by the comforts of your
home.
* You want to have your friends & family at your birth.
* You want to avoid medical interventions such as IV,
medication, epidural, episiotomy & cesarean section.
* You want to be free to change positions, sit in a tub,
stand in a shower, as well as eat and drink
throughout your labor.
** You are having a healthy, low-risk pregnancy.
"A baby is born with the need to be loved, & never outgrows it." - Frank A. Clark
Healthy beginnings start with breastfeeding.
Breastfeeding your baby lowers their risk for developing respiratory infections, allergies, asthma, ear infections & type II diabetes. Studies further show that getting the baby to the breast within the first hour of life improves the baby's overall health.
